BIOGRAPHY
A storyteller through dynamic and still imagery. Occasional writer and musical experimenter, Vitor is drawn to eeriness and its excuses for being there. A seeker for deeply immersive narratives.
Driven towards social impact advertising, he is the cinematographer behind campaigns like "Dignidade Íntima" (2022), addressing sanitary pad distribution in Brazilian public schools, "McDonald's McDia Feliz" (2022) supporting children with cancer, "Exiled Team" (2023), an Ambev initiative shedding light on the Ukrainian conflict and the "Rexona Women's World Cup" (2023) commercial for P&G. Entering the narrative realm, he has worked on "Boi de Conchas" (2023), "O Som De Lugar Nenhum" (2022) and "Aluísio, O Silêncio e o Mar" (2021). In these films he co-created the visual foundation with the directors, committed to the very act of telling the story with feeling.
Blurring the lines between commercial and narrative, Vitor’s portfolio collects nominations from renowned festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Berlin Commercial, El Ojo de Latino America, Rio de Janeiro and Hong Kong Film Festivals.
Some of his latest work has fallen into place right in the intersection of documentary and poetic expression. From a cold winter expedition with Swiss lumberjacks to unconventional New Year's traditions and the unsettling corridors of the East German secret police. These witness endeavors fueled a strong desire to keep exploring this line of investigative work.
Graduated in Visual Arts at Unesp Arts Institute in São Paulo (2019), he was invited as a fellow artist to participate in residencies and exhibitions in Brazil, Denmark, and Germany.
